IN-OFFICE CARE

At SmartStart Pediatrics we are committed on providing quality and personalized care. Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Newborn Care

  • Yearly Check-up

  • Adolescent Care

  • Sick appointments

  • Sports Physicals

  • Care of the child with special needs

  • Pre-operative evaluations

  • Immunizations

  • Chronic illness

  • Complimentary Pre-natal visits (meet the doctor)

We DO NOT take Walk-in appointments but always do out best to accommodate same-day appointments.

AFTER-HOURS CARE

If you are an established patient and need to speak with the doctor after office-hours or during the weekend, you can text the office number. A provider will contact you as soon as possible.

For urgent matters, we advise on taking your child to the nearest emergency department or call 911.

Dr. Herrera offers concierge services!

Concierge pediatrics is a special kind of care built on a membership with your doctor — one flat
monthly fee gives you direct 24/7 access to your pediatrician and all in-home or virtual visits. You can easily reach out with questions and concerns, knowing your doctor is there for you.

HAVING A BABY?

Congratulations! We are always thrilled to welcome little ones into our practice. We know that choosing a pediatrician is an important decision and you want to ensure a good fit for your family.

Schedule Meet-and-greet appointment with the doctor and let us help you in your journey.

We are currently seeing Newborn babies at the following hospitals:

  • University Medical Center

  • Providence at Transmountain

  • Providence Memorial

  • Las Palmas

On admission to the hospital, let the nursing staff know that Dr. Hernandez/Dr. Herrera will be your baby’s pediatrician so they can see you after your baby is born.
